design is personal, but I found this soundbar system old looking and bulky, especially for the satellites which are huge, and the up-firing even with an atmos content it's barely noticeable. Samsung QSymphony - (soundbar + TV speakers play together) doesn't add anything to the system except for tv shows, on the opposite for movies and music it disturbs the clarity of the channels. Music - it's good great with great instrument separation (probably the best), majority of the genres with some EQ adjustment play great, except for rock or similar genres which the lack of soundstage and the sound out of the box it's not reaching the clarity of the bose/Sonos, even by fine-tuning the EQ the sounds seems muffled. TV show - it's good, especially when paired with a Samsung tv here voices in dialogs get a boost. but I found myself constantly adjusting the volume (I live in an apartment) because it's too loud even at low volume and when the volume it's low the dialog was not crystal clear. Movies - it's great, if you can use it at high volume it seems to be at the cinema, the bass literally shakes the walls. The main differences with the Samsung s990b are the auto EQ and The extra two channels.
the s930b it's great for the price, you get a full surround system for less than $1000. Samsung s930b - I started with the "downgraded version" of the Samsung s990b. I'm not an audiophile or a pro, just an enthusiast about technology. I already own a Bose 700, but I was curious about the new Samsung (rtings scored the Samsung 990 as the best soundbar ever) so I bought all the new soundbars and tested ) I just bought the new Samsung Oled S95b a beautiful top-of-the-line Oled TV so I wanted to pair it with a great soundbar.
